Unlike other communities of Encinitas, Olivenhain gardens have the luxury of space. Gardens ranged from half an acre to more than an acre, each lovingly created as its own private Eden.


Among the 20+ gardens open in 2008 are several created in the tradition of France and Italy, others influenced by Mexico and Baja. We visited a vineyard, a gorgeous drought-tolerant garden, a certified backyard wildlife habitat, a country retreat, and much, much more.
